Sergi Pérez is a marine biologist conducting his PhD on the ecology of the bottlenose dolphin around Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Protected Area with the collaboration of the Population Ecology group of the Mediterranean Institute for Advanced Studies. Inês Gomes has been colaborating with GVI Kenya since 2008. She partnered with Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) in Mombasa for her MSc thesis, on tge sustainability of Kenya artisanal fisheries and is currently doing her PhD on connectivity assessments of Marine Protected Areas (Universidade de Aveiro). Jane Spilsbury, is a former lawyer from the UK and now is an advisor for the Watamu Marine Association. She specialises in dolphin and whale identification photography and has helped develop the WMA Dolphin Research, Conservation and Ecotourism Project which is funded by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (Kenya) WMA Email: janespilsbury@watamu.biz
Steve Trott is a marine zoologist and Chairman of Watamu Marine Association.WMA is made up of 30 groups and organisations from the community, tourism and conservation sectors in Watamu. WMA runs sustainable tourism and ecotourism projects, community waste management and recycling projects and marine conservation and research projects. Michael Mwang'ombe is a young self taught scientist from Taita. He joined Watamu Marine Association in 2014 and quickly immersed himself in photographing marine mammals and including data collection and analysis of populations in Watamu Marine Park and Reserve. Mike has attended the Humpback Whale World Congress in Magagascar 2015 where he presented Kenya's humpback whale data (2011-2013). He is also co-leading Watamu's first land based humpback whale surveys.
Kahindi Charo is from Mida Creek Watamu. He is a member of Mida Creek Conservation Community a successful grassroots community organisation. Kahindi is a proficient bird guide in Mida Creek and teh Watamu area. His keen eye and affinity with nature helped Watamu Marine Association when he
joined the community dolphin research team in 2010. He now leads the team in photo ID analysis and humpback whale land based surveys in Watamu. He joined Mike representing kenya at the HWWC 2015.

Zeno Wijtten is a wildlife biologist, author of several publications on crocodilians and primates and the country - director of GVI Kenya. GVI is a volunteer company working for KWS, conducting marine and terrestrial research and supporting community led integrated conservation. Email: mkwiro@gviworld.com
Nina Wambiji is a Research officer at Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute (KMFRI), Mombasa, Kenya. She holds a Ph.D in Marine Environmental Sciences (Fish Physiology) from the University of the Ryukyus-Okinawa-Japan. She is interested in Fish ecology and physiology, marine invertebrates and developed a passion for dolphins when she was a research Assistant in the MASMA Sustainable Dolphin Tourism in East Africa project, conducting boat based surveys on distribution, behaviour and abundance of dolphins in Kizimkazi area-Menai bay, Zanzibar in 2005. Currently she is the Marine mammal contact person for KMFRI. This involves receiving stranding and bycatch reports, and participating in awareness and education.
Dr. Simon Hemphill is the co owner of Sea Adventures, a deep sea fishing charter operator based in Shimoni, Kenya and the Chairman of the Kenya Association of Sea Anglers.
